Juicy amla

In northern India it is called amla, aoula or aonla, in West Bengal and Orissa - amalaki, in Tamil Nadu - toppi or nellikkai, in Maharashtra - avalkati.

Amla is a small tree with green-gray bark with a scaly coating. Its crown is light green, thin. The leaves are small, delicate, slightly pointed. Another feature of amla is that during the fall, the branches themselves fall along with the leaves.
