Last week, our Rotary Club donated two much needed laptops to Head Start. We also had the pleasure of hearing from Byrd Garland, a retired attorney from Smith, Welch, Webb & White.

Byrd shared stories from his time practicing law that were both hilarious and heartwarming. We always love hearing from our very own local legends!

On November 4th, our club made the big move to the Red Devil Hall of Fame Room, where we now have a fantastic view of the football field. Fresh Air Barbecue provided a delicious meal, and Dr. Clark, President of Southern Crescent Technical College, shared information about the college’s hands-on programs, workforce training opportunities, and the ways SCTC prepares students for real-world careers in fields like healthcare, technology, public service, and skilled trades.
