Have You Heard About the New Trump Accounts?

A new savings program is now available for children under 18, and some families may qualify for a $1,000 government-funded starter deposit.

Who qualifies for the $1,000 deposit?
- U.S. citizen children with a valid Social Security number
- Born **January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2028**

Children under 18 who were born outside of those dates can still have a Trump Account opened for them, but they are not eligible for the $1,000 government contribution.

How do you sign up?

Download the official Trump Accounts app or visit the official government website at TrumpAccounts.gov to begin the application process. You'll need your child's information and will be asked to verify your identity during the enrollment process. The IRS also provides guidance on eligibility and the enrollment process.

You can also create a Trump Account through your IRS ID.me account at irs.gov

These accounts are designed to help families begin saving for their children's future through long-term investments. As with any investment account, there are contribution limits and rules regarding withdrawals.
