Just a reminder, today is the deadline to order field day shirts. Please make sure you have the correct grade level as they are color coded. Errors in ordering the wrong size or wrong class color will not result in remakes or refunds. Fun Rainy Day Activity:

Playdough ingredients:

2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup salt
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 cups lukewarm water
2 Tablespoons of vegetable oil (coconut oil works too)
Food coloring, optional
Quart sized bags
Stir together the flour, salt and cream of tartar in a large pot. Next add the water and oil. If you’re only making one color, add in the the color (optional) now as well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue stirring until the dough has thickened and begins to form into a ball. Remove from heat and then place inside a gallon sized bag or onto wax paper. Allow to cool slightly and then knead until smooth. If you’re adding colors after, divide the dough into balls (for how many colors you want) and then add the dough into the quart sized bags. Start with about 5 drops of color and add more to brighten it. Knead the dough, while inside the bag so it doesn’t stain your hands. Once it’s all mixed together you’re ready to PLAY.

Just a reminder, we are almost done with our Penny War fundraiser. We will be set up on the far side from car line today collecting last minute donations. Stay in your car and pull all the way over so we can keep the line moving, and so we can all stay safe. All money collected in car line will go to the class you choose. Silver included. It will be kept separate from the school change drops. We have had such a fun time with this and the kids seem to love it. Thank you for all of your support. Keeping your donations in our school benefits us so much more than selling material items to make a percentage back. The popsicle party will happen after break and rest assured, we will be making sure to get the good ones. We will be working hard this afternoon and we will have final numbers posted. We will be able to share our grand total of donations too. VENMO SNEAK ATTACKS WILL CLOSE AT 4PM. any donations will be followed up with a message that it is closed and refunds can be given if the donor wishes. Thank you again. We could not do it without our families, students and staff.

First graders came out strong today. They brought in a total of $53.14 in + donations (bills and pennies). The opposing teams however threw so much mud (silver coins) that it knocked them back to - 671 points. This is key to not holding your silver until the end because you never know how another grade level is going to change things up to either make them the advantage or send some mud flying to knock down the leaders. Bill totals are based on cent totals (100 bills is equal to 1.00 or 100 cents) We do have some sneak attacks that will be withheld from totals until we finalize each grade level. One of the donations is a strong donation and we appreciate it so much. Remember all of your donations will be used to purchase non-structural items for the playground such as balls, chaulk, and similar items. All donations are tax deductible as we are a registered non-profit. Please reach out for a receipt if you would like to write your donation off. Strategize and be ready for Wednesday's battle!
