We a right in the middle of winter operations here on the ranch. I often get asked if things slow down on the ranch in the winter. And the answer is no, some could say it gets busier. The cows need tended to every day this time of year. Cattle don’t know if it’s a holiday or a weekend and they need taken care of just the same day in and day out. Along with daily feeding we keep multiple water sources flowing, we ensure herd health, manage equipment breakdowns, move snow, fix fence, and keep the meat business moving foreword. We all find our own way of getting through these cold dark days with a smile on our face. For me it’s a time focus on what I can control, and to have as much of a positive affect on those things as I can.
