I purchased $50 worth of diesel fuel from the Shell station in Flora at 7:45 this morning, 2-22-21, in one of my pump trucks. This was because the Sunoco on Hwy. 49 was closed due to ice storm damage. Approximately nine miles down the road, my truck starting having power issues and blowing white smoke out the exhaust stack. After having to go to the shop and drain that $50 worth plus the other 47 gallons I had in my truck and going to the parts store to purchase $56.87 worth of fuel filters, I finally got my truck back on the road. I had to contact three of my customers that were having septic problems due to the ice storm and let them know we were running behind due to bad fuel. We contacted the Shell station this afternoon, only to be told no manager was available.

All this to say, you folks who burn diesel in your trucks, beware of the fuel sold at the Shell station in Flora next to Bumpers.
