As of 10am today, Friday 10/6/2023, we are experiencing an inbound fiber cut effecting all internet customers. Fiber crews are dispatched and we will provide updates as we receive them

Fiber cut has been verified along Wyoming 191 effecting several counties and cities including Farson, Pinedale and Jackson Wyoming. 911 Services along 191 near Pinedale may be effected.

Fiber cut has been localized to the Rock Springs area. This means that the outage is effecting most parts of Western Wyoming. We will continue to post updates as we get them. We are as frustrated as you are and are working to resolve the issue.

We continue to push and escalate our ticket with providers of the fiber. There have been no updates provided to us in the last 2 hours.

5:30pm
Dispatch out for a Lumen tech to test and isolate.

6:30pm
Our fiber uplinks have been restored. We have little details on the fiber cut or what was repaired at this moment, but will continue to update this post with details

** During this outage:
It is okay to "Power Cycle" (Unplug and Plug back in) your equipment.

No NOT perform a factory reset of equipment (IE: do NOT use a pin/pen to press the reset button on any equipment), as you will lose your wifi name, and other settings that will set your equipment to default and your internet may not come back online when the fiber cut is repaired. ***

We lost our brother in arms last weekend. Jon Beeson was out hunting, or "hiking with a gun" as he put it, when he had a sudden cardiac failure ultimately ended his life at age 45. Jon was survived by his wife Tiffany and his two daughters Sydney and Casey.

He was very savvy when it came to the world of technology, which is what made him an integral part of the Compunet team. He was supportive of his neighborhood and Morning Star Baptist church community in Alpine. He was a trusted colleague, a fun guy, a pal to call on, a righteous dude, a good man, a shoulder to lean on, and the friend we all wish we could be, Rest In Peace. 💜

Below is the link to the funeral home and his visitation service will be at the Morning Star Baptist Church on the 11th from 5-8pm and a celebration of life on the 12th at 11 am also at the Morning Star Baptist Church.
