Judge Neal B. Biggers Jr. '56 dedicated his life to public service, from the U.S. Navy to the Mississippi judiciary to nearly 40 years on the federal bench. Today, his impact continues through the scholarship that bears his name, helping Millsaps Political Science students pursue their own paths of leadership and service.

At Millsaps, students don’t have to choose between academics, leadership, and campus life.

For Ethan Pratt, that means competing on the men’s soccer team, serving as treasurer of SAE, representing students as a senator on SBA, staying involved in the Pre-Law Society, and working as an IT Helpdesk technician.

From his first campus visit, Ethan saw what makes Millsaps different: professors who invest in their students and relationships that continue long after class ends. Through mentorship and personal connections, he’s been able to prepare for his next step—law school—while fully engaging in the college experience.

It’s the kind of environment where students are known, supported, and challenged to reach their goals.
