Happy Birthday to Ornette Coleman! Coleman was an alto saxophonist who helped push the boundaries of what jazz could be in the late 60s. His album, "The Shape of Jazz to Come" is a quintessential "free" jazz album, free from strict forms and melodies from the bebop era of the 40s and 50s. Here's to you, Ornette Coleman!

Definitely a highlight from the most recent IC Jazz Ensemble concert! “Bourbon Street Parade” played just like how they’d play it down in New Orleans!
