It was great to visit Bensvue Farms – a third-generation family dairy operation in Lansing, NY! I’m fighting to cut red tape, lower costs, and expand markets to make sure that farmers like Chandler and Aziza can keep making the nutritious products that fuel our families every day.
Career politicians who are more focused on winning their next election than doing right by the folks at home.

When Washington politicians slashed Medicaid to give billionaires another tax break, they left rural clinics like the Groton Community Health Care Center hanging on by a thread.
Today I sat down with the staff at Groton and heard firsthand about the challenges they’re facing as they’re forced to do more with less.
I won’t stop fighting to keep healthcare affordable and close to home.
While foreign-owned utility companies like NYSEG & Central Hudson are raking in record profits and sending millions overseas, folks in Upstate New York are rationing medicine and picking up a second job or extra shifts just to keep the lights on. It’s robbery.
I pressed Secretary Wright to join our fight and help BAN foreign corporations from owning American utilities. Your money should stay in your pocket and our community, not line the pockets of executives halfway around the world.
The deck is stacked against working people, and it’s stacked in favor of the corporations and special interests who buy influence with politicians in Washington.
For a dairy farmer in Valatie or a family living on Birdsall Street who don’t have armies of lobbyists or corporate PACs, it’s impossible to compete.
Our Drain the Swamp Act bans corporate PACs and gets dark money out of politics for good. We’re putting power back where it belongs: with the people.
When workers vote to form a union, they deserve a fair shot at a fair contract — not months or years of corporate delay.
That is exactly what my bill with Donald Norcross, the Faster Labor Contracts Act, takes on. And it just passed the House.
This bill helps workers secure the fair wages, good benefits, and dignity they have earned.
A big win for working people in Upstate New York and across the country.

NY-19 is home to some of the best farmers markets in the country. I’m proud that the Farm Bill reauthorizes the Seniors’ Farmers Market Nutrition Program to make sure that everyone in our community has access to nutritious, locally-grown food.

I grew up keeping score at B-Mets games, and it took me years to realize most people eat hot dogs at the ballpark and not spiedies.
Tonight I'm taking that 607 pride to the Congressional Baseball Game, where I couldn't be more thrilled to represent the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and all of Upstate New York. We're putting partisanship aside and raising money for a great cause.
There's a direct line between the corruption in Washington and the tough conversations families are having at kitchen tables all across Upstate New York.
Soaring utility bills. Healthcare costs out of control. The economy is rigged in favor of powerful special interests who buy politicians to work for them - not you.
