Good morning everyone we decided to open the bus up early to try to get everyone fed before the heat hits us. Lexy is manning the window this morning. Go say hi, grab a bowl of pancakes or a cinnamon roll or a cup of coffee and enjoy the morning.

This morning was so much fun. The passion that some of these kids had for their projects was so amazing to see as a baker. Hands down, one stood out from the others. My new friend Jake made these Maple Bacon cupcakes. As you may know, I make this same flavor but lordy bee! These blow mine out of the water, hands down! 💯
The cake, the fluffy and non greasy or sticky sweet buttercream, the seasoned and candied bacon strip on top, and the maple syrup drizzle!! Perfection!
He told us all about each step of his project, (while sporting a broken upper arm due to a dirt bike accident) and when I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up (I fully expected him to say chef or baker or something food related)?? Diesel mechanic!! Friends, hands down, blown away at the youth in Gratiot County and all their talent that showed up today!!
Now excuse me while I go try to eat some veggies to balance out the sweetness of today 😂

I have the honor of judging cakes and cupcakes tomorrow at the fair. So I will see some of you and your smiling faces tomorrow morning. As for the rest of you feel free to catch the bus located in my regular spot next to the main entrance from the parking lot by the restrooms at the end of the horse arena. Hours are shown in pic.
