How do you design a garage for a Ferrari Dino? Start with a stealth bomber, naturally.
Designed more like a private museum than a traditional garage, BB Garage was created to function almost like an aircraft hangar. The stealth bomber inspiration is evident through the charcoal exterior and sharp geometry.
This home garage was built for an avid motorsport enthusiast who wanted better access to his car collection after years of being stored remotely and out of sight.
Inside, the nearly all white space allows the cars’ colors to pop, while a gloss black ceiling reflects the collection below. Game room and lounge? Just head up the piston-like spiral staircase to the mezzanine.
Not your everyday garage, though this is certainly not your everyday collection.

What’s the proper way to add a garage to a 1970s modernist architectural gem?
Step 1: painstakingly restore the home to its pristine original condition.
Step 2: meticulously design the new structure using the original architectural language.
Step 3: install a set of fully collapsible lifts to accommodate the collection.
The lineup of Porsches overlooking the Sierra Nevada mountains certainly doesn’t hurt either.

If you’re going to have what amounts to a street-legal race car, you better have a proper garage to match. Mission accomplished.
By the way, this is not your “standard” Cayman. Beneath the skin of this Stormtrooper sits a swapped 4.0L engine, with details and easter eggs throughout. Suspension, brakes, and parts sourced with help from friends across the industry.
“This is my rendition of a Street Cup.”
And when that little monster isn’t terrorizing the streets, it’s resting in its own Garage Mahal.
Oh, and the interior? Perfect for road or track. Though we’d also gladly take an office chair inspired by those bucket seats 🏁

The workbench. Possibly the most personal piece of furniture in the garage. Snap-on. Gladiator. Build your own. We know some of you skip the workbench in favor of a mobile toolbox instead. We don’t judge.
But for those with a workbench, the details matter. Wood top or stainless? Fixed or rolling? How deep, how tall, how much storage underneath? Don’t forget price.
With a workbench, there’s always something we wish we could change too.
What’s in your garage? What details matter most to you? Who makes the best?

Not a bad place to keep a few 911s.
Set in Jackson, WY, this one keeps things simple. In a dreamy way.
Big views, a Grand Teton backdrop, a garage with personality, and a collection that just feels right.
Nothing overdone. The kind of space you settle into without thinking twice.

Problem: your garage only holds 11 cars. What makes the cut for you?
In light of Matt Fajkus Architecture’s recent Octant House project, we’re revisiting Autohaus. Room for 11 cars.
This home is the definition of Carchitecture. Garage first. Everything else follows. Built for former race car drivers, where the cars are part of everyday life.

We’re stepping into the world of Alfaholics.
Two professional Alfa Romeo garages: Norway and Thailand. Oceans apart, yet closely aligned.
Every part of an Alfa will eventually break. But with each repair and adjustment, you get closer to the car. These machines ask for involvement, demand to be used, and reward attention.
They endure for a reason. Not just as machines, but as a way of life.

When your architect is one of us.
Some architectural briefs start with square footage or materials. This one started with a shared obsession: cars.
The brief called for classic proportions, contemporary detailing, and subtle industrial cues. A garage designed to house a collection of air-cooled Volkswagens and Porsches.
A sculptural, laterally opening oak door doesn’t blend in. It knows exactly when to stand apart.
