You “broke” the mold, so go further, expose them to the world, its complexity, cultures, beliefs, languages…My kids are TrilingualCulturally they follow American, Colombian and Dutch traditions We celebrate SinterKlaas, Santa Claud and Niño Dios for Christmas We raise them Catholic but we also expose them to other religionsThey understand that most families have a dad and a mom, some have two men, or 2 women, some started as 1 parent and some ended up separated. Some kids were conceived intentionally via IVF, some naturally and less planned, and some are given up for adoption… they all form unique and beautiful families!We have kept the family core the same as we grew up, papi and papa divide home roles, etc… but our kids are exposed to a bigger more diverse world!.
