One of the most interesting parts of print production is seeing the same artwork transform across different materials and printing technologies.

Version one was printed on General Formulations 765 Rainbow Holographic Vinyl with the Mimaki UJV330H 160 Hybrid UV Printer creating stunning metallic and shifting light effects.
Version two was produced on Palram Americas PVC using a Mimaki UJF Series UV printer with added raised 2.5D texture you can feel.

Same artwork. Same design.
Files drop next week in the Mimaki Sample Files Vault. More sticker packs and production ready graphics coming soon.

We are actively testing specialty graphics on flexible media using gloss layering and build-up techniques that create elevated visual and tactile effects impossible to ignore.

From spot gloss accents to dimensional texture effects, this system is opening the door to premium applications.

Current development testing includes:
✔ Single pull-back gloss applications
✔ Double pull-back layered effects
✔ Texture and dimensional build-up testing
✔ Flexible media specialty graphics
✔ High impact visual enhancement techniques

And this is only the beginning.

Next, we’ll replicate these same application methods on rigid substrates to demonstrate the true hybrid workflow advantage of the UJ330H-160 by seamlessly moving from roll media to rigid sheets and right back again on a single platform.

This is where hybrid UV production gets exciting.

Stay tuned as we continue pushing this platform further inside our Irving, Texas Technology Center.
