Job Description:

Employees will be expected to perform the following:
• Read and understand the holiday paperwork provided to complete orders.
• Remove decorations from trees, wreaths, garlands,s or arrangements.
• Sort, separate, and restock all items removed or new products arriving.
• Prepare various decorations by cleaning, gluing, and wiring.
• Spray painting of various items needed for displays or decoration.
• Fluffing and cleaning of greenery items.
• General cleaning of warehouse to include sweeping, trash, box breakdown, etc.
• Apply decorations and construct bows for items in colors or themes selected by customers.
• Wrap boxes for displays of presents.
• Wrap in plastic or box up items that are prepared and ready for jobs. Tag items with proper labeling.
• Apply and/or remove lights from trees, wreaths, garlands,s or arrangements.
• Locate, pull and verify items as needed to stage for installers when the job is scheduled to be delivered.
• Employee must be comfortable climbing/working on ladders up to 10’ tall.
• Proper and safe use of a pallet jack.

Environment:

The employee will work in a warehouse with concrete floors. It is heated in the winter but not air-conditioned. As a majority of their day will be spent on their feet, cushioned mats are provided. There is a considerable amount of dust in the warehouse and masks are provided to all. The hours worked primarily are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. However, during the months of November and December, they could be working 7 days a week with extended hours. Thanksgiving weekend is a must (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) as this is our busiest weekend for holiday installations. Overtime is paid for any hours over 40 each week. Two 15 minute breaks and ½ hour for lunch are provided each day. There is a kitchen with refrigerators, microwaves, toaster ovens, and tables for dining. There are NO vending machines.

Dress Code:

Employees are expected to dress in appropriate comfortable clothing that may get dirty, torn, or damaged. Shoes must be tied and belts are encouraged in lieu of pants that ride low and show underwear. Company T-Shirts (usually one per person) are provided. No open-toed shoes or sandals are allowed. All employees must wear company-mandated safety footwear and these will be provided at no charge to the employee when they report to work. Additionally, employees are provided with safety glasses and gloves and expected to wear them as warranted.

Training:

All training for this position is provided on the job. Safety is our number one concern! Employees must pass 2-4 modules of ladder safety training done online as well as view company-mandated safety videos.
