VACATIONS ARE CRITICAL FOR CAREER ADVANCEMENT

I’m not all about work. I love vacationing. I’ve always loved traveling but I used to be really afraid of flying. However I never let it stop me from traveling. As a result, I’ve traveled internationally and extensively across the US. One big trip on my bucket list is a The Holy Land with a River Cruise on the Nile.

Vacationing at local destinations is also fun. Here I’m at the Parker Palm Springs. Beautiful décor, beautiful grounds with a lot of entertainment and movie history - The perfect getaway to recharge and return refreshed.

We are still planning our getaways for this year. No dates, no specific destinations yet. This flexibility is one of the reasons I enjoy being my own boss. I can get off work whenever I want and have the vacations I desire without having to schedule and coordinate with the rest of team at the office.

As we start the year are you making sure that your vacations are a part of your plans?

Are you getting your vacation on the schedule at work so you can take some time off this year?

Towards the end of last year, a manager told me that she had to take MANDATORY time off because her boss had required her to take the time because SHE HAD SO MUCH VACATION ACCRUED that if she didn’t take that she WOULD LOSE IT!

Say What??!!

Don’t be one of those persons. Include your vacation planning into your work goals. Vacations are necessary for you to recharge, refresh and reinvigorate your mind so you actually strategize with a clear head to achieve your career goals faster.

When you are refreshed and invigorated you can strategize and plan and succeed in your career.
