Thank you Drs. F***j, Palladino, and Drannikov for making time to attend the 23rd Annual ILADS Scientific Conference in Orlando, Fla. Restoration Healthcare and our patients are better for your commitments to continuing education.
Lyme disease is an extremely complex disease — one which is often difficult to diagnose and treat effectively. That’s why when you’re suffering from the brutal effects of a tick-borne illness like Lyme disease, you should be cared for by a healthcare team that follows and understands the latest research and treatment protocols. That’s what Restoration Healthcare doctors Walid F***j, DO (left), Mike Palladino, ND (center), and Eduard Drannikov, MD (right) are doing by attending the 23rd Annual ILADS Scientific Conference in Orlando, Fla. (Oct. 22-25, 2022) ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) is the leading organization for the education of healthcare professionals like ours on the diagnosis and treatment of tick-borne diseases. Hundreds of doctors and and scientists from around the world come together at this annual conference to share their research advances, compare notes, and learn about the latest treatment options.

Regarding the news that Pfizer and Valneva are working on a Lyme disease vaccine.... at Restoration Healthcare, we are not big proponents of vaccines in general, nor are we antivaxxers. Our recommendation to receive a specific vaccine or not relies on several factors, including the vaccine’s risk/benefit profile, the individual’s likelihood of being infected, and the impact the disease is likely to have on the patient. We conduct a risk-benefit analysis for each patient, allowing them to decide what’s best for them and their family members on a case-by-case basis. Now, for Restoration's thoughts about the potential vaccine for Lyme disease, please read the following....
Possible Lyme Disease Vaccine on the Horizon Pfizer and Valneva are working on a vaccine for Lyme disease named VLA15. Here’s what you need to know about a possible Lyme disease vaccine.

May is Lyme Disease Awareness Month, so there's no better time than now to tell you about the use of methylene blue in the treatment of Lyme disease. Methylene blue was developed in the late 1800s as a dye for use in textile manufacturing — its claim to fame is that it put the blue in blue jeans. Soon thereafter, it was synthesized and discovered to be useful as an antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial agent. Learn more by reading Restoration Healthcare's latest blog post using the link below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
Methylene Blue in the Treatment of Chronic Lyme Disease Methylene blue is among the drugs that effectively kill at least 65 percent of stationary phase Borrelia burgdorferi in Lyme disease patients.
