2021 Devil Proof Cima Ladera Malbec-Cabernet Sauvignon | Farrow Ranch, Alexander Valley Sonoma County California 750ml
65% Malbec 35% Cabernet Sauvignon

Meaning 'top of the hillside' in Spanish, the Inky purple-colored 2021 Cima Ladera Farrow Ranch is mostly Malbec with the addition of 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and sees 90% new French oak. The first vintage they made of this wine, the Cabernet really pops through in its profile, with a nose of fresh plums, redcurrants, lavender, and a mineral lift of pencil lead jumping from the glass. Full-bodied, it has a mountainous feel to its structure, with plenty of ripe tannins and a balanced, even freshness underneath. This is a great addition to the range that's going to appeal to lovers of great Cabernet Sauvignon. | 99, Audrey Frick

2023 Sire Mons Imperatoris
The 2023 Sire Estate Wines Mons Imperatoris is a bold, polished Napa Cabernet that leans into richness while still keeping things structured and focused. It opens with deep aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark plum, layered with espresso, graphite, and a touch of sweet oak. On the palate, it’s full-bodied with firm, youthful tannins and a slightly restrained core of dark fruit, giving way to notes of cocoa, cedar, and subtle savory herbs as it opens up. There’s a nice balance between power and freshness here, and while it’s already impressive, this one feels built for the cellar—give it time and it should evolve into something really special over the next decade or two.
