5 Supplements That May Support HPV Clearance

As an OB/GYN, one of the most common questions I hear is:

“What can I do to help my body clear HPV?”

The good news is that most HPV infections clear naturally within 1–2 years thanks to a healthy immune system.

At this time, there is no medication or supplement proven to cure HPV, and routine supplementation is NOT considered the standard of care.

However, some supplements have shown promising early research and may support overall immune health. More high-quality studies are still needed before these can be routinely recommended for HPV treatment.

Supplements that have been studied include:
• Folate (Vitamin B9)
• Vitamin B12
• Vitamin D (if deficient)
• Zinc
• AHCC (a mushroom-derived supplement with encouraging but still limited clinical studies)

💚 Just as important as supplements are healthy lifestyle habits:
✅ Don’t smoke or v**e
✅ Eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables
✅ Exercise regularly
✅ Maintain a healthy weight
✅ Get adequate sleep
✅ Manage chronic stress
✅ Practice safer s*x
✅ Stay up to date with Pap smears and HPV testing
✅ Receive the HPV vaccine if you’re eligible—it can protect against future HPV infections, even if you’ve already been exposed to one type.

Remember, the goal isn’t simply to “get rid of HPV.” The goal is to prevent persistent infection that could lead to cervical precancer or cancer.

If you have persistent HPV, an abnormal Pap smear, or questions about supplements, talk with your OB/GYN. Your care should always be individualized based on your medical history.

Menopause can affect more than just hot flashes. Vaginal dryness and painful in*******se are common symptoms that many women experience—but they often suffer in silence.

✨ Vaginal DHEA (prasterone) is an FDA-approved prescription option that may help improve vaginal tissue health and reduce pain during in*******se related to menopause. Unlike over-the-counter oral DHEA supplements, vaginal DHEA works locally within the vaginal tissues.

Remember: painful in*******se is common, but it is not something you simply have to “live with.” There are safe and effective treatment options available.

💗 If intimacy has become uncomfortable, talk with your healthcare provider about whether vaginal DHEA, vaginal estrogen, moisturizers, or other therapies may be appropriate for you.

You deserve to feel comfortable, confident, and connected at every stage of womanhood.

As estrogen levels become more unpredictable, your brain, ovaries, and adrenal glands all work together to adapt to these hormonal changes.

During this transition, some women may experience:

✨ Hot flashes
✨ Trouble sleeping
✨ Increased sensitivity to stress
✨ Mood changes
✨ Fluctuations in energy levels
Think of menopause like your body’s hormonal orchestra learning a new rhythm. 🎻 Sometimes the music feels a little chaotic before it settles into a new normal.

Knowledge is power. Understanding what’s happening in your body can help you navigate this season with more confidence
