From classroom to nationals 🏆
Midlands Technical College is sending off a group of Mavericks heading to the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference in Atlanta, June 1–5.
These students earned their place after bringing home gold medals at the SkillsUSA South Carolina competition, and now they’re advancing to compete on the national stage in fields like welding, machine tool technology, IT, web design, and more.
The sendoff celebration at MTC’s Airport Campus brought together students, faculty, and leadership for a cookout and words of encouragement from Dr. Greg Little and college deans.
Now, it’s time for the next stop: nationals.

These talented students are headed to Nationals next week, and we couldn’t be more excited to cheer them on as they represent MTC on the big stage. Stay tuned and wish them luck!
