You are not your thoughts. And honestly — your thoughts shouldn't be trusted.
Too many people overly associate with their thoughts. If a thought enters their mind it must be true. It must be representative of how they really feel.
That couldn't be farther from the truth.
Think about this — when I say pink elephant you think of a pink elephant. I just controlled your mind for a second. Nothing is preventing your thoughts from going in any direction at any time.
So instead of believing every thought that shows up — pay attention to how it feels.
Does it feel good? Comfortable? Aligned? That thought is representative of who you really are.
Does it feel anxious? Sad? Uncomfortable? That thought is misaligned with your true self. It doesn't make you you.
Start practicing thoughts that feel better. Because in the end those thoughts are far more representative of who you actually are.
You are not your thoughts. You are the one choosing which ones to follow.
