Teen Librarian Victoria recommends children’s picture book “Firefly” by Robert Macfarlane.

“Original etchings pair with tender and rhythmic verse to produce a stunner of a book,” writes Victoria. “Enamored by fireflies, I picked this book up on a whim because of the title and luxurious cover, and despite the black and white-only illustrations, found it to be bioluminescent. The main character is going through it, and faces the darkest dark. The author, however reminds us that is precisely at our lowest, that the only way is up. This is also a reminder that sometimes the only person standing in your way, is you. This is a delightful picture book that adult and teens can and should enjoy, too.”
