What do meatballs have to do with sourdough you may ask!?!?
If you have a loaf that u cant finish and it starts to go stale, grind up the pieces into breadcrumbs in your food processor and use them in your meatball recipe!!
Amounts are approximate cause Im an eyeballer when it comes to everything but baking!!

Mix together 3 cups of freshly ground sourdough breadcrumbs and some small bits of bread not completely ground, (adds a nice texture) 2 tablespoons basil, 2 tablespoons parsley, 2 tablespoons onion powder, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 2 eggs, 2 cups of milk, s&p mix into a wet paste

Add 2 lbs ground beef, 3 brisket brauts taken out of the casings. Add more milk if necessary to get the consistency you like.

Roll into medium size balls, Fry in your oil of choice. I used a blend of organic coconut and organic canola

SOO good!

Im Baby sitting my granddaughter today but check in tomorrow!!! Im gonna post a tutorial on how to activate your starter from refrigerated discard !!!

English Muffins!!

Visiting the kids today. Got a request for a sandwich loaf.
Kids asking me to bake them a loaf of bread makes me so happy!! πŸ₯°

It's a sourdough loaf but because I only had less than 24 hours to get it done, I did need to use commercial yeast. Using yeast can be controversial in the sourdough world but the yeast I use is made from the same Italian flour company I use, Caputo. Knowing that, using it doesn't bother me as much as it would if I had to use something American made. I just trust their baking products more as far as overall quality.
Here's the finished product. Nice rise, egg wash gave it a nice browning on top and the crumb looks great!
