Although I retired several years ago I am still working with numerous families in our community. I was contacted yesterday by a social worker in district 7 that is working with a family that as of today will be homeless, and we are trying to come up with the funds to put them in a motel for numerous weeks, until they can get on their feet. The father is disabled and the mother works 2 jobs and they have a son in high school and one in junior high school that also are in need of clothes and shoes and underwear. I also have their sizes. One of the boys is autistic and has severe emotional issues. If anyone can help, please let me know. I also have cash app $pkohelps or PayPal [email protected]. Although I officially have retired, I am still and will probably always ( as long as I am able) be ministering to several families when God opens that door. Today was one of those God moments for sure. Many of you may remember Ed that I ministered to for several years and still see every so often, mostly because he walks up and down Hwy 9 going to work. He has been living in his broken down car for a couple of years in someone's back yard. Myself and numerous other folks really did a lot to help him, but unfortunately things didn't work out and we all had to finally walk away. It was really, really difficult for me, but I knew we had to. Today I was meeting Ted's niece at QT/85 in Boiling Springs and of all people, Ed was there standing right in front of her car. She is moving from Powdersville to Lake Wylie and Ted and the boys had been packing her up all day. Ed walked up with that big smile of his and told me he had just gotten word that he had been offered a basement apt to live in. He was so excited but I knew he had nothing. The items he needed were the exact items that our niece had left to donate. Coincidence? I think not! God knows my heart and although we all poured a lot of time, love and effort into Ed in the past, He also knew that Ed should be given another chance to have a place to live....I am just blessed to be able to help out. I love when God intervenes like this.
