Thankful for a great neighbor who gives up his time to bring his tractor over to help mix up a new batch of clay.

This "James Bottom" clay is dug on the Foothills Conservancy of North Carolina's Oak Hill Community park . I appreciate their partnership with area potters in providing a historical clay deposit to help continue the tradition local materials being used to create wares.

This is the first big batch that I've made up from this clay. Looking forward to getting on the wheel and then into the fire.
