I mentioned the “aging process”. Well, I have bowl rough outs that go back to 2015; so, that aging process is variable. It really only takes 6 mo. or so. With my process other things get in the way of processing stock. One of which is life in general. With the making of The Maker’s Market a lot of free time got taken up. I am working to get a “shop” over there as well.
I have lots of bowls and raw stock to chose from. Hopefully, all of this will get used up and I will forage more wood to fill in the blanks. Thanks to all who watch this page and show interest in me turning found wood into usable art.

Natural Edge Cherry Burl bowl.
Roughly 9” diameter x 5” deep.
The burl was given to me many many years ago. I finally turned it and gave it to the person who gave it to me as a house warming gift this Christmas.
This bowl turned out great with loads of character and awesome natural edge. The pictures don’t do it justice, but they never do.
