This graph shows the financial situation of the city of Inkster over the last eight years. This document was created by the city of Inkster's financial consultants Plante Moran in May of 2023.

As you can see, when I left office in November of 2019, the city had a general fund balance of approximately $2,000,0000 (2 million) dollars. Today, we have a general fund deficit of $3,400,000 (3.4 million) dollars. In 2021, we received $2,400,000 (2.4 million) dollars in federal covid funds (free money), and we are still millions of dollars in debt.
