1. Know the warning signs and keep an eye on your dashboard temperture indicator.
2. Turn off your AC, roll down the windows, and turn on your heater. This may make you uncomfortable, but it could save your car.
3. Pull over to a safe location and turn off your vehicle's engine. Allow at least 30 mins for it to cool.
4. Always carry an extra bottle of coolant and a jug of water. Once the engine is completely cool, you can fill your coolant tank with coolant or water will work in a pinch.
*MAKE SURE THE ENGINE IS COOL BEFORE ADDING WATER OR COOLANT OR YOU RUN A HIGH RISK OF BEING BURNED
