Twenty Nine
Day 10,585 of being just a girl (a moment for how satisfactory of a number that truly is).

(Now it’s May & it’s been a few weeks, but I’m bad at IG these days so bear with me). I’m one of those sappy people who writes a ton of reflections on their birthday. Twenty eight started out more myself than I’ve been in a long time, and then the beginning of 2025 hit and it was like the Lord opened the floodgates of favour and joy on that version of me - “working” so hard all of 2024/most of 28 to heal and breathe and commune and abide and laugh and DELIGHT and wonder again came to such sweet culmination of rest. It was as if the Saviour said, “You’ve been running the race child, let Me carry you now.”
& He did. It was sometime early in January that I woke up and it was as if I didn’t feel like I had to be afraid anymore. That the prophetic ‘fearlessness’ that had been spoken over my entire life, that I had somehow lost in the last five years, was returned to me. I didn’t have to be afraid of people, of men, of authority. I didn’t have to be afraid of just going for it again. I didn’t have to be afraid of…me. Of my own capability and understanding.
The year I turned nineteen was the year I held fast to the phrase, “running freely.” Freedom the portion of my soul. So here we are, ten years later, an eleven year old “adult,” learning and growing & still choosing Jesus as best as I can, grateful that He chose me first, and chasing child-like wonder every time. Thankful & excited for the beautiful people & places, love found, creativity & ideas & vision, challenges & joys of the year ahead.
& if you’ve made it this far…thanks for reading. 🫶🏼

Boots, Beef, and Broken Feet (not actually broken, don’t worry 😉). Sweetest weekend in the desert (who knew I’d come back) singing at the top of our lungs, dancing barefoot, making grilled cheese sandwiches at midnight, & consuming more beef than the great state of Montana puts out.

Police escorts, sneak passes, and hearing loss, just a few of our favorite things 😎🦅💨
