Did you know that there is a long tradition behind this bread? The circular shape represents the crowns of the three kings. The dried fruits represent the jewels embedded in their crowns. And last but not least, the doll figure baked inside symbolizes the hiding of baby Jesus. According to tradition whoever gets the doll when cutting their piece, will host a gathering on the day of Candlemas (Calendaria).
