Critical Legislation: Speak up for the T1D community!

We need your help to advance two key pieces of legislation on Capitol Hill that impact our community. First, the INSULIN Act contains critical provisions that would make the cost of life-saving insulin more affordable and predictable for those with and without insurance. Second, the SCREEN for T1D Act would increase awareness among the public and healthcare providers about the importance of screening to avoid life-threatening complications through early detection. Our lawmakers need to hear your strong support. Contact your Members of Congress today and urge them to cosponsor these bills!

The Breakthrough T1D Young Adult Advocacy Council (YAAC) is hosting an info session on Thursday, June 18 at 7pm ET for anyone interested in learning about the YAAC program, the application that will launch in September, and how the group works to advances Breakthrough T1D’s mission.

The Young Adult Advocacy Council (YAAC) is a group of young adults ages 18-28 who actively support the advancement of Breakthrough T1D’s advocacy priority areas, spread awareness of type 1 diabetes (T1D) within their communities, and inspire youth to use their voices and share their stories with key decision makers.
