May is recognized nationally as Foster Care Awareness Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the needs of children and young adults in foster care and recognizing the importance of community support.
Fishers High School junior and Girl Scout Sophie Holladay, 17, marked this month by celebrating the completion of her Girl Scout Gold Award project, completed in partnership with Foster Success, an organization focused on supporting older youth transitioning out of foster care."
THANK YOU for your generosity and encouragement this May - aka Foster Care Awareness Month! Because of YOU we were able to raise funding and awareness that will support young adults experiencing the foster care system! š„°
Great programming, fundraising goals EXCEEDED, lots of awareness fostered and batteries are charged as we head into a summer full of programming and impact ahead!
Our team wishes you and yours a happy and safe summer ahead & we look forward to staying connected. Thank you again! š
āCongratulations, you have been selected as part of National Foster Youth Instituteās (NYFI) called the Congressional Leadership Academy 2026 Cohort.ā
Amiagh was ecstatic as she reflected on her path to this moment.
It took years to cultivate her purpose. Aging out of foster care at 18, she paused her education journey for four-years. When she was ready for school, enrolled into the Maricopa Community Colleges to pursue Business Management, Foster Success was foundational for the start of her college career.
