It was a busy day around the state for Indiana Golf! ⛳

The IGA Match Play Championship got underway today at Kokomo Country Club, with players competing in the stroke play qualifier to earn one of 32 spots in the match play bracket. The day even featured a 4-for-1 playoff for the final (32nd) seed, setting the stage for an exciting week ahead.

The IWGA Women’s Match Play Championship joins the action tomorrow as the head-to-head competition begins.

Claire Swathwood is the 2026 IWGA Indiana Women’s State Amateur Champion!

After three days of championship golf and temperatures soaring into the upper 90s, Swathwood stayed composed and played a steady final round to claim the title by one stroke. Claire finished at 4-under par, holding off a late charge from Josie Kelley and Julia Potter-Bobb, who tied for runner-up at 3-under.
