OK everyone. If you go deep into the GRP catalog, you'll find one of the coolest albums ever. If you're lucky, you may have this on vinyl. It was released in 1990 and was written by a Japanese artist named Yutaka Yokokura – an arranger, composer, engineer, keyboardist, koto player, producer and singer. He does it all! And, Brazilian music was at the center of his heart. His early music was influenced by Sergio Mendes and you can surely hear it on this and many others on his album. In the late 70's he performed with Hiroshima which served ironically as an introduction to his own Japanese culture. In 1978 his debut album "Lovelight" was produced by Dave Grusin and Larry Rosen. "Say You Do" is from the 1990 album, "Brazasia" and it has everyone on it...just look at the credits! Amazing. On this track, Pauline Wilson, from the LA band Seawind, provided the wonderful vocals. I love everything about this track and album. I encourage you to dig deep into Yutaka's music. You'll not be disappointed. E

My pal Groovefunkel is at it again, and this time... WOWZA!
For the first time ever, he's taken on the challenge of remixing one of the most legendary bands of all time — Steely Dan. One of their absolute classics has been given the Groovefunkel treatment, featuring a fresh new intro and outro, extended sections, unheard production elements, hidden gems pulled from the mix, and a few surprises along the way.
