🚨 Winter Weather Advisory:

Water Intrusion After Snow & Ice
After the recent snow and ice, we’re seeing an increase in water intrusion inside homes across central Indiana and similar neighborhoods with comparable roof designs.

When heavy snow and ice accumulate on a roof and temperatures fluctuate, melting water can back up and travel under roofing materials, entering the home in places it normally wouldn’t. This often shows up as:
Ceiling or wall stains
Dripping during warm-ups
Moisture in attics or insulation
Leaks near exterior walls or windows.

Because many neighborhoods are built with similar construction details, it’s common for multiple homes to experience the same issue at the same time.

If you’re noticing signs of moisture or leaks, it’s important to have it inspected sooner rather than later. Early documentation can help prevent further damage and is often helpful when speaking with your insurance provider.

Hi, I’m Dallas Cole. Some of you know me as the owner of Ironclad Construction here in Indianapolis. I’ve been a general contractor for over 13 years. In 2023, I started a nonprofit called Roofing Roundup to help families who can't afford critical roof repairs. 🛠 We launched our Raise the Roof campaign on Sunday, and we’ve already had well over 1,000 views and our first donations come in.
