I’ve stopped looking at Mentions. It’s people sharing dogs that need out of a dire situation and I’m already inundated with pleas for help.

I don’t remember where I read a nice passage that stated that each person is born in the time that was specifically designed for their purpose.

We have the internal tools and knowledge to navigate the challenges because God has already gifted us.

I think of this passage when I’m viewing dog after dog after dog in shelters. Did I really choose THIS time? I think I made a mistake. A wrong choice. Why would I choose this time? It’s horrible for animals.

I had the dumb idea of looking at the dogs who were recently euthanized for space. Why did I do this? Maybe the anger or sadness will fuel the energy for another dog who still has a chance.

My soul cannot square killing innocent animals. It’s wrong regardless how we look at it. I’m so sick of reading bios that have expired or videos that are just now memories of dogs-who had no idea their owners were not returning or had days to live. It makes me soul-sick.

This sweet 7 year old dog was an owner surrender and was killed.

Read his bio. What, as humans, are we allowing to happen to gifts from God? To the one thing that provides us humans with unconditional love? Have we lost the last millimeter of goodness, of compassion?

I fear we have. How, how could I have been chosen for time? I’ve made a mistake.
