Initiatives like this demonstrate why Indiana ranks top five in the U.S. for small business survival and 12th in the nation for new entrepreneurs.
This week, Governor Braun awarded $757,000 in grants through the state's Community Collaboration Fund (CFF) to support 22 regionally driven projects focused on entrepreneurial education, tech enablement and small business acceleration.
"Making Indiana the very best place to start, build and grow a business is a driving force of my administration,” said Governor Mike Braun. “These grants will support programs identified by communities as critical to the growth and success of their entrepreneurial and small business economies, supporting long-term job creation and wage growth. Thanks to the commitment and creativity of our regions, these programs will help founders and leaders bring new ideas to life, implement new technologies and future-proof their businesses.”
The selected projects are aimed at helping entrepreneurs and small businesses start and scale faster, access capital and new markets and leverage technology and artificial intelligence.

🤝Connection fuels Indiana's future.
IEDC President Josh Richardson shared insights on economic development strategy and regionalism at a breakfast roundtable ahead of yesterday's Innovate Northwest Indiana event in Valparaiso featuring Gov. Mike Braun.
The roundtable brought together Northwest Indiana partners, local municipalities and business leaders to explore the drivers of regional economic success surrounding workforce alignment and modernized infrastructure.
Later, Richardson joined IEDC Director of Retention and Expansion North Stephanie Kabel and Executive Vice President of Workforce and Talent Kim Brant for a tour of Family Express. The convenience store chain, serving Hoosier communities since 1975 and now operating in 81 locations, stands as a strong example of how lasting relationships with customers and regional stakeholders fuel long-term growth.
