Today, we celebrate Term Limits Day.

On this day in 1951, the 22nd Amendment was ratified, limiting presidents to two terms and reinforcing a simple but powerful principle: in America, power belongs to the people — not politicians.

As the Indiana State Chair for U.S. Term Limits, I’m proud to stand with Hoosiers of all political affiliations who believe in citizen legislators, fresh ideas, and accountability in Washington.

They ensure new leadership, curb careerism, and help restore trust in government.

Indiana has always valued service over status. It’s time Congress reflects that same principle.

Proud to stand with Indiana’s 18 congressional candidates and 157 state legislative candidates who have signed the pledge to support term limits in Congress. The momentum is growing.

Let’s honor Term Limits Day by recommitting ourselves to a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
