The fact is, the global population is growing, while land available for farming is not. We need to find a way to feed nearly two billion more people in the next 25 years —sustainably. Thankfully, there's an answer — technology. From gene editing to hybrid wheat, technology will unlock the power of farming to keep our food supply abundant, safe, nutritious and affordable. And that's something to celebrate.

We are buzzing 🐝 with excitement! World is today, May 20, and the International Day for Biological Diversity 🦋 is May 22, two of our biggest passions in one week. Bees and biodiversity go hand-in-hand, and we are committed to more sustainable agriculture practices that allow pollinators and wildlife to thrive, starting with our own sites. In fact, 90% of our sites have a biodiversity action plan and 88 pollinator gardens, a favorite of bees.

Farmers in sub-Saharan Africa & Asia produce grains like pearl millet, which serve as a key source of nutrition for rural communities. However, pearl millet rapidly becomes rancid following harvest and milling. To help solve this challenge, Corteva is collaborating to develop a gene edited variety of pearl millet which will have a significantly longer shelf life.
