Emotional intelligence is something that takes time to develop. Every day, we grow older and, hopefully, a bit wiser. Accepting any given situation for what it is and navigating through it with a positive outlook is something anyone can do at any given time, but that takes a level of maturity that not everyone has.

There are numerous leadership styles, all of which impact the world around them. Some favor authority over empathy and vice versa. However, the correct approach is a balance between the two; a combination that effectively combines those two approaches.

It is not an easy combination to achieve - like many things, it is a journey not a destination - but it is completely possible. How would you go about achieving this balance?
