Are your board members equipped to lead effectively? Hedges is offering complimentary board training for five small Indiana nonprofit organizations.

Effective boards are critical to nonprofit success, but too many board members step into service without the training and tools they need.
Hedges is offering 10 complimentary seats in its Lead with Purpose training series for Indiana nonprofits with operating budgets under $1 million.

Lead with Purpose is an eight-session virtual series designed to give board members the clarity, confidence, and practical tools they need to be effective in their roles.

August 6 – November 5, the 90-minute virtual sessions held from 12:00 - 1:30pm ET include:
• Nonprofit Fundamentals on August 6
• Choosing Your Cause on August 20
• Financial & Legal Responsibilities of Nonprofit Boards on September 3
• Effective Staff & Board Roles on September 24
• Building a Thriving Board on October 1
• Setting Vision & Strategy on October 15
• Fundraising Essentials for Board Members on October 29
• Effective Board Committee Essentials on November 5

Five organizations will be selected, with two seats available per nonprofit (one staff member and one board member or two board members) to support shared learning and stronger alignment in implementing new strategies.

If you’d like for your nonprofit organization to be considered, please complete the form on this page by June 12. Recipients will be selected at random and notified the week of June 15.

Lead with Purpose is sponsored by Katz, Sapper & Miller, Faegre Drinker, The National Bank of Indianapolis, and the Community Foundation of Hancock County.
