Today I had two accepted offers, and on Father’s Day it made me reflect on where my work ethic came from.
Right, wrong, or indifferent, my dad was unapologetically a workaholic. He loved his work. He loved the people he served. And he cared deeply about the people who depended on him.
Growing up, he left before I woke up and often came home after I was asleep. When I did get time with him, it usually meant tagging along while he worked. Looking back, those moments shaped me more than I realized.
I watched how he treated people. I learned how to communicate. I learned integrity in business. I learned how to be genuine, when to say no, and when to work my ass off after saying yes.
My dad loved my mom and me more than he could always express with words, but he showed it every day through hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. He gave me a gift that continues to serve me today: an unwavering work ethic and a commitment to doing things the right way.
It takes a lot to carry his name, but it’s a responsibility I proudly embrace. I wouldn’t want to be anyone else in this world except Mark Branch — the son of my father, and a man still learning what it means to love himself and the people fortunate enough to share this journey with him.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad. Thank you for showing me what commitment looks like.
