Sometimes STEM projects are a slam dunk and other times they flop a bit. These playdough houses were a little challenging for our little lions, but they made the best of it and created some creative things with their playdough. The best thing about STEM is that it gives the kids the chance to learn through creativity, even if it looks a little different than we originally planned.
Reading is always one of our favorite parts of summer, and this year we are celebrating our 8th year partnering with The Indy Learning Team (TILT)! TILT has a wonderful program that identifies each child's specific literacy gaps and provides targeted intervention to address them. Students are placed into small groups and receive daily literacy lessons tailored to their needs.
We truly love our partnership with TILT and have seen so much growth in our students each summer. Here's a video of one of our all-star teachers, Miss Nuri, who's going over some basics with our youngest lions!

We are BACK! The sun is shining and Like a Lion’s summer camp is officially in session. We kicked off our first week of program last Monday and had a wonderful first week! We have 36 kids in camp this summer and we can already tell it’s going to be one of our best years yet!
