I feel like this is soo contradictory to my job as a wedding coordinator, but it's also soo true.
You don't have to go into debt to have a beautiful wedding!
When my husband & I got engaged in 2023, we had the plans for a big wedding at Union Station in downtown Indianapolis. The all-inclusive venue was going to cost us upwards of $13,000. And I wanted the beautiful, dramatic dress. I wanted real orchids and a big, 3-tier cake.
Now?
We're renewing our vows on our first anniversary next month at a local park for $150. I'm wearing a $20 dress from Shein, and my husband is cooking the entire meal, minus dessert. We're creating a YouTube playlist and setting up a speaker for music.
And you know what? I'm ok with it. Because it's not about the big, fancy venue or a dress I'll only wear once.
It's about us. And this is more true to who we are anyway.
And I'm perfectly content with it. 🩷
It’s okay to not want to break the bank to get married.
I promise… you don’t need to start your marriage in debt just to impress people who wouldn’t cross the street for you on a bad day.
Skip the $20k venue.
Skip the strangers on the guest list.
Skip the $5,000 dress that’ll sit in a box after one night.
Get married in your backyard.
Get married at the courthouse in jeans.
Wear something you actually feel comfortable in.
Invite the people who will still be in your life 10 years from now.
Because a wedding is ONE day.
A marriage is every day after that.
Because when the bills come in… it won’t be those random friends or your mom’s second cousin paying them, it’ll be you.

Over the next few weeks I plan on sharing tips from vendors for couples on choosing the right vendor(s) for you!
From makeup artists to photographers, you'll see tips from industry professionals (most of which I either personally know or have worked with) to help make choosing your vendors effortless.
Stay tuned!
Tomorrow, I feature photographer Brooklyn Landers, owner of BeeKay Photography! 🩷
Hi, friends!
I'm currently in the process of revamping this page & being more active. While I don't plan on taking on any more weddings until I'm done with school & a certified event planner, I have a goal to make this my full time career within the next 18 months. (NOTE: I may make certain exceptions when I say I'm not currently taking on weddings.)
So. How can you help? I promise, it requires only 30 seconds of your time & ZERO MONEY. All I ask is you simply share my page, maybe share a post when it comes across your feed.
That's it! You've successfully helped me promote my business! 🫂
Not local to Indiana? No problem! I travel!!! ✈️
I'm also looking for vendors to connect with! So if you're in any way related to the wedding industry, shoot me a message & we can chat!
To those who have supported me thus far, and to all my previous clients, thank you so much. Your support does not go unappreciated! 🫶
