This week’s spotlight is Nicole Van Andel!

Nicole earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management from IUPUI’s program and received her master’s in Adult Education. Nicole has a distinguished career in Health Information Management. Following her graduation, she began teaching for the Health Information Management program at IUPUI. She then worked at Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana before returning to academia at IUPUI. She is essential to the success of Health Information Management students. She places students at clinical practicums, assists in the preparation for the Registered Health Information Administrator exam, and teaches upperclassmen courses. She finds teaching to be the highlight of her career and we find her to be one of the many highlights of the Health Information Management program.

Hot and sunny day for a lawn party! We enjoyed getting to see everybody and hand out some popsicles!

Great first HIA Connection Meeting for the 2019-2020 academic year. Looking forward to seeing new faces at our next meeting on September 5th at 3pm in Walker Plaza room 370. We will be discussing upcoming events such as the lawn party and the Regatta!
