Southern Dewberries!
We're here in learning all sorts of unfamiliar species. The dewberry is a member of the bramble tribe, like raspberries, blackberries, and many others! Mild in flavor, but refreshing and abundant in this area. The blacker the berry, the sweeter the juice!

Before the flowers bloom, it could be mistaken for Virginia creeper, which is pretty interesting considering most northern brambles closely resemble the roses they're related to.
