Let's go on a food journey together!

Our goal is for all kids (and adults) to understand that eating 'well' is fun and should be stress-free.

Here are some key points:
☑️Present food in its natural state.
☑️If you don't want them to eat it, don't welcome it into the home.
☑️Lower expectations of how much we 'think' kids should eat... we are not in their bodies. Teach them to understand what "feeling full" means instead.
☑️Cook in front of them, let them see the process.
☑️Always include at least 1 food item that you KNOW they will be excited about. This helps limit resistance. This could be berries, toast, or a juice they really enjoy.
☑️Let them feel hungry. Limit snacking so that the next meal is something they can look forward to.
☑️ 80/20 rule. Have realistic expectations. We live in a world of endless birthday parties and grandparents who spoil them. And it will all be ok👏

🥑Eating is an experience. It should be something that excites us, not stress us, and kids are no different. The smells, sounds, colors, and presentation of food is part of that.

How many of us as adults smell sauteed garlic and remember our grandmother’s cooking?

That memory brings about healthy hormones and connects us to our ancestors.

FOOD IS CONNECTION.
