Early CPR and AED saves lives!

On June 16th a worker at ODOT in Garfield Heights experienced a medical emergency resulting in cardiac arrest.

Quick thinking and prior training of fellow ODOT workers helped to save their fellow co workers life that day.

Independence and Valley View fire were dispatched mutual aid to ODOT that day due to Garfield Heights Fire fighting a house fire.

EMS transported the patient to a local hospital where she made a full recovery. If it were not for the effort of these workers the outcome would have been much worse.

Today the City of Garfield Heights along with firefighters from Independence and Valley View who responded that day came together to honor the outstanding efforts of these workers.
