So I took the Ancestry DNA test and the results are back. It appears that I come from a lot of Bar Tenders, Hair Dressers and Clergy, all whom the masses have sought counsel from in multiple regions around the globe.

Counseling is literally in my blood.

I have cancelled all remaining appointments this month and I am putting myself as out of the office for the rest of the year due to on-going health issues. I plan to retire and close my practice in January 2026.

I will be scaling back my scope of practice in January 2026 by not renewing my license in Massachusetts.

I recently met with two potential mental health patients, both of whom were in Crisis mode and in urgent need of care. I could not provide services as it's the weekend any my office isn't open. I pointed out the urgency and encouraged both potential patients to call 911 or the emergency hotline for the nearest community mental health center.

If you are on the verge of a mental meltdown don't call a Teletherapy professional, seek immediate face to face help. Time is of the essence people and every minute wasted could mean the difference between hospitalization and a diversion from inpatient treatment, not to mention warding off a tragedy.

Services like Betterhelp.com, etc. are wonderful. I know, I contract with agencies like these to prove help to those in need. Such on line sites were not meant to serve as mental health triage. Wake up people and seek immediate help when in crisis.

I am excited to announce that I am currently registering with multiple insurance boards, which will allow me to bill patients' insurance for services rendered. Although this process is lengthy, I anticipate being able to accept most major insurance carriers by spring. Stay tuned.
