The Independence Police Department is honored to receive a meaningful and deeply appreciated gift from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

We recently received Officer Cody Allen’s placard, which was removed from the Hall of Remembrance at the National Law Enforcement Museum, along with a heartfelt letter from their team. This gesture carries profound meaning for our department, as it reflects the continued honor and recognition of Cody’s service and sacrifice.

We are grateful to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund for the dignity, care, and respect they extend to fallen officers and their agencies across the country. Their commitment ensures that heroes like Cody are never forgotten.

We will preserve this tribute with the honor it deserves as a lasting reminder of his legacy.
